Precedo Healthcare is currently looking to recruit two experienced NMC Registered General Nurses to join our ever expanding team, for full-time temporary work available in a Prison service within Wetherby.
Located within a Category C Men’s prison, you would be working alongside a team of highly trained nursing and care staff, providing high standards of care on a Healthcare Wing, equivalent to the wider NHS trusts. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year’s relevant experience, preferably with previous prison experience or will have experience working on an acute hospital ward, within the last 18 months.
Candidates would preferably drive or be comfortable and familiar with public transport networks, and be willing to travel in and around the area.

DESCRIPTION:
Registered Nurse – Care Home
Precedo Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered General Nurse (RMN / RGN) to work at registered care setting in North Nottinghamshire. The role will involve providing excellent standards of person centred support to the Service Users ensuring they are able to lead as independent lives as possible. You will be responsible for achieving the highest possible standards of care in a professional manner through direct nursing care and effective supervision of staff members. You will take management responsibility for a shift as directed.
Key responsibilities;
- Ensure that all staff members contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the care centre and the creation of an atmosphere conducive to the best interest on the Service Users. Duties may include acting for the Deputy Home Manager and/or Home Manager in their absence.
- Report any ill health amongst Service Users and make requests for GP/Professional visits where necessary.
- Ensure Service Users’ care plans are completed and maintained in conjunction with Service Users and make requests for GP/Professional visits where necessary.
- Assess all aspects of Service Users’ care needs and provide health supervision and direct Nursing Care when required. Maintain accurate records and ensure that each Service User within the Care Centre has an individual Care Plan.
- Carry out regular checks on Service Users at intervals determined by the Home Manager. Ensure a clear and concise handover report is given to all relevant staff members at the end of each shift.
- Administer prescribed medicines and document the same in accordance with the Company’s procedures and guidelines.

You will assist in the effective supervision and development of staff working within a multi-disciplinary team whilst adhering to stringent regulations and governance at all times. You will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered General Nurse, able to demonstrate a successful track record or relevant experience. Key responsibilities;
- Ensure that all people who use the service have any personal and/or nursing needs assessed and met including personal care, participation with activities and support with daily living tasks.
- To actively participate in quality initiatives and to ensure that national Minimum Care Standards are achieved and maintained.
- Full responsibility for the administration, care and custody of medicines in accordance with the policy or guidelines currently active.
- To give regular supervision for clinical practise for support staff.
- To participate in and liaise with all parties in matters regarding care plans with stakeholders and commissioners.
- To be responsible for reading, understanding, applying and adhering to Company policies and procedures, National Guidelines and legislation.
Main activities;
- To assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual care plans, taking into account the specific physiological, psychological and social needs of the people who use the service.
- To record care plans in a clear and legible manner using a problem solving approach, prioritising and taking appropriate action.
- To ensure that care staff understand and adhere to care plans of the people who use the service.

You will be working on a bank basis, alongside a team of highly trained nursing and care staff, leading with high standards of care and overseeing all nursing assignments and care for service users.
Precedo Healthcare can offer flexible shifts patterns, from full-time to part time hours, with work facilitated around your other employment.
Applicants must be qualified as a Registered General or Mental Health Nurse and hold an NMC Statement of Entry and Pin Card.
