Children’s Support Worker and Senior Support Worker
We are currently recruiting for experienced children’s support workers to form a team supporting a 10 year old female with an acquired brain injury.
At present the young lady is being supported by her family, however a team of permanent care staff is being implemented, through staged introduction- leading to full 24 hour support in the family home. The young lady is very active so the ideal candidates will need to be able to support with daily activities such as Horse Riding, trips out and Hydro sessions. Additional training will be provided by the Multi disciplinary team.
Our client is independently mobile and is able to make her needs known through a language board, however she is prone to emotional outbursts and can display challenging behaviour such as shouting, hitting and throwing objects.
As part of the support team you will be set guaranteed hours but would need to be flexible to ensure that the team is always able to cover in instances such as sickness and absence cover etc.
